How It Works

Our systems use simple physics — the same principles that make rain.

Sun heats water. Water evaporates. Steam condenses. Fresh water is collected.

No electricity. No membranes. No filters. No imports.

Step 1 — Mirrors Concentrate Sunlight

Mirror-anodized aluminum panels are arranged in a shallow V-shape. They reflect sunlight onto a central receiver tube.

The V-shape gently concentrates the sun — enough heat to purify and desalinate water, without dangerous hotspots.

  • Mirror-anodized aluminum — 85–92% reflectivity
  • Shallow V (120–150°) — gentle concentration
  • Seasonal tilt — no daily tracking needed
  • 10–20 year lifespan — built to last

Step 2 — Black Receiver Heats the Water

A black-coated copper tube sits at the focal line. It absorbs the concentrated sunlight and transfers the heat to the water inside.

The tube is insulated to reduce heat loss.

  • Black coating — maximum absorption
  • Copper tube — excellent heat transfer
  • Insulated — minimal heat loss
  • Simple design — easy to repair

Step 3 — Water Evaporates

As the water heats, it evaporates. Salt, bacteria, chemicals, and heavy metals stay behind.

This is the same process that creates rain — but we do it in a controlled system.

  • Salt stays behind
  • Bacteria and viruses are killed
  • Chemicals and heavy metals are left behind
  • Only pure water vapor rises

Step 4 — Steam Condenses

The steam rises and meets a cool surface. It condenses back into liquid water — pure and clean.

The condenser is designed to maximize surface area and minimize heat loss.

  • Cool surface — glass or steel
  • Large area — faster condensation
  • Insulated — keeps heat in
  • Simple design — easy to clean

Step 5 — Fresh Water Is Collected

The condensed water flows into a storage tank. It is ready to drink, cook, and wash with.

No membranes. No filters. No chemicals. Just pure water from sun and sea.

  • Food-grade storage
  • Insulated tank — keeps water cool
  • Gravity flow — no pump needed
  • Easy access — simple tap

Step 6 — Brine Is Drained Away

The remaining saltwater (brine) is drained away. It can be used for salt production or returned to the sea.

Low recovery rate keeps brine salinity close to seawater — safe for the environment.

  • Low recovery — less brine
  • Salt production — extra income
  • Safe disposal — no chemicals
  • Environmentally friendly

Why It Works

  • No electricity — works completely off-grid
  • No membranes — nothing to replace, nothing to fail
  • No filters — no consumables, no subscriptions
  • No imports — built locally, repaired locally
  • 10–20 year lifespan — built to last
  • Simple repair — any local handyman can fix it
  • Dual use — drinking water, salt, and heat
  • Community scale — 50L to 400L per day

What It Removes

  • Salt — removed
  • Bacteria — removed
  • Viruses — removed
  • Chemicals — removed
  • Heavy metals — removed
  • Microplastics — removed

Evaporation + condensation removes everything. Only pure water vapor rises.
